A Poem: The Way of Calvary

“God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.”

(I Corinthians 1:27)

In weakness keep me

Quell pride that I may see

In sorrows call

Man of Sorrows my all

My boast is not in mine

Glory alone belongs to Divine

In weakness show me

Let not knowledge hide Thee

If suffering You ask

Thy Cross can bear the task

Give eyes to see and ears to hear

To the broken-hearted Thou art near

In weakness teach me

Apart from Thee, all things vanity

My God my Savior

In Your Son alone do I find favor

Give life by death

Give faith til last breath

In weakness lead me

By death make me free

In weakness guide me

Learning the way of Calvary

  1. Awesome poem… man. Seriously, that was edifying and encouraging.
